Thicker Eyebrows Are Hot!

I miss blogging so much. Yes, I know it's been so long since I last posted. I have so many back logs, oh no! Anyways, I'm here again to give you blahs. And that is all about the evolution of my eyebrows, lols! Eyebrows are very important to enhance the feature of your face. They are framing your face and it draws attention to your eyes. You should be thankful if you have naturally thick eyebrows.  If you're not, cosmetics can help you utilize to make it thicker.

I got a naturally thick eyebrows. Literally, mine has long hair strands, bushy and dark. I got conscious about it when I graduated in high school. Before that, I used to have a "virgin" eyebrow. My Mom would always say not to pluck it before and I can't forget what she told me that thick eyebrows will make you look young than having thin shaped eyebrow because it will make you look matured or older.

This is me during my high school days. Yes, I was dark when I was young and until now hehehe. I know I never get that fair. When I went to college, I had the reason to groom myself as an adult (I'm a late bloomer) and I meant was I had the reason to get more conscious about my appearance particularly my face. That was the time I decided and set aside my Mom's advice of not touching my virgin eyebrow. I guess then that it's already time to groom it.

Here was my eyebrow years ago. I was already in my mid 20's here...

I had thin shaped eyebrow since then until recent years ago (I think 3 years or so), I started to had it grow again but unfortunately only few have grown back. Too late for me. Yes, I regret that I over plucked it. But that didn't make me feel least beautiful anyway since I get used of thin shaped. After all, there's make-up that can do magic anytime you want it!

It's so funny, yeah. Because now that I'm growing old, I want to look younger and so I want thicker brows again hahaha! I am fond of using eyebrow pencil before but when I started to make it grow again, I've switched to brow powder.

Until recently, I saw the models and celebrities are raving with thicker and dyed brows. It looks softer. There are kits to dye your eyebrows but I don't know where to buy (I would appreciate if you can drop a comment if you know any that sells brow dyeing kit). Meantime, I was thankful to found this Maybelline brow kit that I have been using for about a year already.

I want to share with you how I make a thicker brows using my Maybelline Eye Studio and IN2IT brow kit:

Left: Wax; Right: Powder

Step 1.) Apply the wax on the inner 1/2 of your brow. Then, top that inner 1/2 with the brow powder. I used other brow brush and take color from the lightest shade of my IN2IT brow kit. I lined it at my lower brow from the inner half outwards. Always remember that your outer brow should always be darker.

See that long hair strands?

Step 2.) Trace your upper brow especially your arch starting from the inner 1/2 of the brow outwards (Yes, I know I looked like a cartoon here). Then, fill in from your arch point down to the end of your eyebrows.

Step 3.) Fill in that remaining trace using the Maybelline brow powder. Then, using a spooly, brush your brow starting from where you made the trace.

And Voila! Meet my natural-looking thick eyebrow!

How about you beauties? Do you like thicker brows?

I will try to get to my regular blogging starting next week. I have so many things to share with you gals but a lot of things have been occupying me for over 2 months now. Until my next post.

Much love,

NEW BEAUTY FIND: IN2IT "BALLOON BRUSH" MASCARA

I know, it's been a long time already since my last post. Blame it all to the work and the busy schedules. I still have a hang-over of the long-weekend vacation, so I have the reason to write now. By the way, how's your Holy Week? Did you go out of town or just stayed home with your family and observe the holy week? If you will ask about me, well, I spent it with my family from out of towns and observance of holy week back to the Metro.

I would consider that this is the busiest month for me for this year because aside from work, my brother who is an OFW from KSA have arrived this April and is now having a three (3) months vacation and also my B's cousin and his family did a short vacation here in Manila from the U.S. We brought them to the attractions they wanted to see and everything turned out fine.

I have many stories to tell but let me first share to you my new beauty finds from SM Beauty Department. I still have my Maybelline mascara but I really cannot resist not to buy this cute "balloon brush" mascara from IN2IT. It's so cute that really fits in my kikay kit and which I can tote around anywhere I go.

Isn't it so cute? The packaging, the color, the size? Hays.. I love it!

Yup! It's a balloon brush. The spikes are so soft and it coats each lash separately resulting to have an extra-length looking lashes. This is like their fibre mascara that I have tried on before that gives extra length to my lashes but the downside of that fibre mascara was it dried up immediately. I don't know with this balloon brush mascara how long will it last before it dries up. We will see then.

That spikes are made of rubber so that's why it's so soft. No worries if you accidentally poke your eyes hehehe.

Yey! The price tag is just right with the size of this tube.

I've already used this balloon mascara for awhile now and I would say I saved time in putting on my make-up because when I'm in a hurry, I just curled my lashes and get out of the house and I do put on this mascara inside the car. The wand is so handy and I can manage to control it in my hands even the car is moving. That cute balloon brush is really a wander because even at the very peak of the traffic in EDSA where  hubby always hit the brake most of the times; it didn't messed up when it applies.

Okay beauties, that's it for now. I promised to go back with my regular blogging starting this week.

Much love,

Face It: BRIGHT SULTRY LOOK

So, what eye make-up should you wear with a gray dress?

Believe me, if you are not confident enough in putting on your make-up like me especially in matching it with your outfit; you'll end up goggling for tips lol! Okay, so I found out that gray is a neutral color. Some said that you can wear any eye make-up, some said it's best to go for a smokey eye look, a purple look, a gray/ silver eye make-up, etc.

I end up with this look though:

The occasion I've attended to was held on daytime so I chose a more neutral look but sultry. Honestly, I received compliments with this make-up. It's so flattering most especially when the compliment came from my B's mom!

Bright Sultry Eye Make-Up

Products used:
Etude House Magic BB Cream in Refreshing
Bobbi Brown Stonewashed Nudes Palette
Etude House Single Eye Shadow in White
Stila Eye Shadow in Moonlight
NYX Blush in Spice
Wet n Wild in Retro Pink

Other products I've used but not in the photo:
Natural Rice Oil Absorbing Powder
IN2IT Eye Brow Kit
Maybelline Volum Express Mascara
NYX Lip Liner in Rose
MAC Sheer Vision Gloss

The STILA in Moonlight did a lot of brightening in my eyes. I really love this eye shadow. I just used this in my inner corners and tear duct areas. It is so pigmented; creamy and very sparkly.

Smile always and stay tuned.

HAUL: COLOUR STUDIO EYE SHADOWS BY ELIANTO

Last weekend, we went to Megamall again to re-align my eye glasses. As always, I took the chance of passing by at Watsons Beauty. I've checked again Wet 'n Wild station and looked for other Silk Finish Lipstick shades but my choices which are the pink/mauve colors weren't available. A lot of shades were out of stock actually. I thought I could go home without any make-up purchases but I was wrong because I saw the Elianto with their Php50 sale. I immediately checked what's on sale. Heck, Php50?!? Are they kidding? Huh they're not!

Well, Php50 for a very few selected items only. It includes the make-up brushes, make-up refill palettes, and single eye shadows. Temptation got into me. You can't blame me... Php50 (approx.US$1.13)?!? I drooled.

Meet my new babies - Colours Studio by Elianto.
This is my first eye shadow purchase from Elianto. Finally, the time to try this make-up happened that day. Thank you sa Sale hehehe.

Unboxing my single eye shadows:

The Vibrant Shadow is a pure matte eye shadow.
Colour Studio by Elianto
Vibrant Shadow in 07 Coral Pink

Colour Studio by Elianto
Vibrant Shadow in 19 Young Lemon

The Pearl Shine Shadow is a matte eye shadow with shining gold pearls when applied.

Pearl Shine Shadow in 03 Nile Green

Colour Studio by Elianto
Pearl Shine Shadow in 05 Celadon Green

Time to swatch!
Taken with natural light by the window; no camera flash.
Left to Right: Young Lemon, Coral Pink, Celadon Green, Nile Green.

Taken indoor; with camera flash.

What I like:
o The price was such a steal! The original price was Php149 (aprrox.US$3.36) each marked down to Php50 (US$1.13) only.
o The Pearl Shine Shadows are much pigmented. One swipe and you're good to go.
o I find the matte ones a bit chalky.

What I don't like:
o The Vibrant Shadows aren't that pigmented; both the 07 Coral Pink & 19 Young Lemon. It took me 2-3 swipes before it reveals the true color.

Verdict:
For the dirty cheap price of Php50, I can't think of anything to complain hehehe. The Vibrant Shadow in 07 Coral Pink can also be used as blusher coz it is matte. Yey!

I also bought an Elianto 4-colors refill palette for only Php50 (this was originally priced at Php109). There's also a 6-color refill palette for Php80 only but I chose by 4's coz the 4 eye shadows above are the just the colors that I like and I think is wearable at daytime.

Time to put my single pots to the palette.

Finished. Yey! Now this is another palette in addition to my growing make-up collection.

I am so excited to do a make-up tutorial using my new babies - Elianto. Lols! The colors are so cool and lovely noh? Smile always and stay tuned.
