I Love Unique Pieces...

After celebrating Father's Day with my in-laws last week, this thing caught me while doing window shopping. I find it so fierce and was annoyed by its design. But after 3-days, I stumbled on a website that sells accessories. It was an international online store (I forgot) and this exact design is being sold there at 3.99 USD. So expensive!

And I also found out how it is to be worn. It is an unusual earring and I find it really, really cool. Agree?

I love unique pieces.

Snake earring : Php50.00 (1-pc.)
Vintage Bracelet: Php50.00

Today, after sweating-out playing badminton with my hubby and in-laws, I dropped by at the store in Ali Mall where I've seen it - the CINDY CAROL store (in front of Jollibee inside Ali-Mall). I finally bought one and I bought also a vintage cast bracelet. There are many accessories that you can find in the store.

My wedge shoes from Keds!

I'm still a Keds at heart!

Yay! I used again the same term from my old post. Yeap, I'm fond of wearing K-e-d-s. This time I got a wedge shoes.

Do you know that I always have a hard time looking for a perfect shoe? I am the type that not easily pleases when it comes to shoe designs. I am into comfort first then the design and other details would follow. I want it sturdy, of course. And speaking of that, let's admit that quality has a price indeed. Just like Keds shoes.

Honestly, I can't afford to buy Keds in regular price because I find it really steep. That's why when there's a clearance sale of Keds, I will never go home empty-handed. I love wedges and I was ecstatic when I finally got my first Keds wedge in color black some months ago which I bought from Eastwood Libis.

Keds Womens
Spright Black
Open Toe Wedge Heel Court Shoes

I also wanted the one in color white but unfortunately, there was no available size anymore. That is the disadvantage of clearance sale. You also have to deal with frustration when they said your size is not available anymore. Lol! But when we're in Cebu last October, I luckily found one in Sports Warehouse in The Walk at Asiatown Park.

Keds Womens
Spright White

o It is an open-toe shoe which is really a plus point for me because I like to expose my hard-work nail art.
o The vamp just fit right on my feet. It didn't hurt my big bunions.
o I also love the very comfy cushion-padded insoles. It doesn't rub on my sole roughly even though I've worn it for long hours already.
o The bow completes the girly appeal.

Very ideal for everyday casual wear because of its canvas design. It is 2.5 inches high but manageable for long wearing because it's not stiletto or cigarette heels. So sturdy!

The tiny orange dots in the heels and in the insoles' with the striking orange cushioned insoles give a nice contrast to whatever earth color outfit you may wear.

I love the counter of the shoe because it didn't cause me any blisters at all. It just fit me right. Yay!

And here is a closer look of it on my feet when worn.
Isn't it lovely?

I really find this wedge stylish and versatile. You can pair it with a denim shorts, mini-skirts and dresses. What do you think? I haven't gone to Eastwood Libis for months now and I don't know if they still have some Keds wedges left on sale. I will surely buy another color.

Act of Sweetness...

I just wanted to share my latest Nike shoes. The hubby bought this when I was busy shopping for make-ups at the beauty department of Market!Market! mall in Fort Bonifacio. I didn't know he returned back to the Sports Warehouse store and bought this pair for me. My hubby knows me well. If I say I will buy the item next time around, it will mean sleepless nights for me. So, the hubby bought it. Sweet!

Much love,

NEW BEAUTY FIND: IN2IT "BALLOON BRUSH" MASCARA

I know, it's been a long time already since my last post. Blame it all to the work and the busy schedules. I still have a hang-over of the long-weekend vacation, so I have the reason to write now. By the way, how's your Holy Week? Did you go out of town or just stayed home with your family and observe the holy week? If you will ask about me, well, I spent it with my family from out of towns and observance of holy week back to the Metro.

I would consider that this is the busiest month for me for this year because aside from work, my brother who is an OFW from KSA have arrived this April and is now having a three (3) months vacation and also my B's cousin and his family did a short vacation here in Manila from the U.S. We brought them to the attractions they wanted to see and everything turned out fine.

I have many stories to tell but let me first share to you my new beauty finds from SM Beauty Department. I still have my Maybelline mascara but I really cannot resist not to buy this cute "balloon brush" mascara from IN2IT. It's so cute that really fits in my kikay kit and which I can tote around anywhere I go.

Isn't it so cute? The packaging, the color, the size? Hays.. I love it!

Yup! It's a balloon brush. The spikes are so soft and it coats each lash separately resulting to have an extra-length looking lashes. This is like their fibre mascara that I have tried on before that gives extra length to my lashes but the downside of that fibre mascara was it dried up immediately. I don't know with this balloon brush mascara how long will it last before it dries up. We will see then.

That spikes are made of rubber so that's why it's so soft. No worries if you accidentally poke your eyes hehehe.

Yey! The price tag is just right with the size of this tube.

I've already used this balloon mascara for awhile now and I would say I saved time in putting on my make-up because when I'm in a hurry, I just curled my lashes and get out of the house and I do put on this mascara inside the car. The wand is so handy and I can manage to control it in my hands even the car is moving. That cute balloon brush is really a wander because even at the very peak of the traffic in EDSA where  hubby always hit the brake most of the times; it didn't messed up when it applies.

Okay beauties, that's it for now. I promised to go back with my regular blogging starting this week.

Much love,

HAUL: COLOUR STUDIO EYE SHADOWS BY ELIANTO

Last weekend, we went to Megamall again to re-align my eye glasses. As always, I took the chance of passing by at Watsons Beauty. I've checked again Wet 'n Wild station and looked for other Silk Finish Lipstick shades but my choices which are the pink/mauve colors weren't available. A lot of shades were out of stock actually. I thought I could go home without any make-up purchases but I was wrong because I saw the Elianto with their Php50 sale. I immediately checked what's on sale. Heck, Php50?!? Are they kidding? Huh they're not!

Well, Php50 for a very few selected items only. It includes the make-up brushes, make-up refill palettes, and single eye shadows. Temptation got into me. You can't blame me... Php50 (approx.US$1.13)?!? I drooled.

Meet my new babies - Colours Studio by Elianto.
This is my first eye shadow purchase from Elianto. Finally, the time to try this make-up happened that day. Thank you sa Sale hehehe.

Unboxing my single eye shadows:

The Vibrant Shadow is a pure matte eye shadow.

Vibrant Shadow in 19 Young Lemon

The Pearl Shine Shadow is a matte eye shadow with shining gold pearls when applied.

Pearl Shine Shadow in 03 Nile Green

Colour Studio by Elianto
Pearl Shine Shadow in 05 Celadon Green

Time to swatch!
Taken with natural light by the window; no camera flash.
Left to Right: Young Lemon, Coral Pink, Celadon Green, Nile Green.

Taken indoor; with camera flash.

What I like:
o The price was such a steal! The original price was Php149 (aprrox.US$3.36) each marked down to Php50 (US$1.13) only.
o The Pearl Shine Shadows are much pigmented. One swipe and you're good to go.
o I find the matte ones a bit chalky.

What I don't like:
o The Vibrant Shadows aren't that pigmented; both the 07 Coral Pink & 19 Young Lemon. It took me 2-3 swipes before it reveals the true color.

Verdict:
For the dirty cheap price of Php50, I can't think of anything to complain hehehe. The Vibrant Shadow in 07 Coral Pink can also be used as blusher coz it is matte. Yey!

I also bought an Elianto 4-colors refill palette for only Php50 (this was originally priced at Php109). There's also a 6-color refill palette for Php80 only but I chose by 4's coz the 4 eye shadows above are the just the colors that I like and I think is wearable at daytime.

Time to put my single pots to the palette.

Finished. Yey! Now this is another palette in addition to my growing make-up collection.

I am so excited to do a make-up tutorial using my new babies - Elianto. Lols! The colors are so cool and lovely noh? Smile always and stay tuned.

PRODUCT REVIEW: ETUDE HOUSE SINGLE MATTE EYE SHADOWS

Hey yah beauties! Today's post is still a part of the purchase of my first eureka moment of 2011. Yes, though it's just a mini-haul but those little items were such a big things for a make-up addict like me. Yes, I am embracing much my make-up addiction. It's just so nice being a girl noh?

Etude House have already a station inside the SM Megamall Dept. Store but the items aren't complete. You can still go directly to their boutique for their complete products at the  Upper Ground Floor Megamall Bldg A near the old site of Toy Kingdom. I bought two (2) new single eye shadows from Etude House (it's a Korean brand of cosmetics). This is my second purchase of Etude House products. My first purchase was the BB Magic Cream which I still have half-way amount of the bottle to use. Well, I don't use it everyday.

Meet my new Etude House Matte Eye Shadows:

 (Please click photo to enlarge)
The labels are written down in Korean so I really don't know what the color identification of these but there is written down as no. "8" (left item) and "WH701" (right). I think those are the codes to identify the item's shade. Agree?

Here's a closer look of the packaging:

Isn't it cute? The details are very girly. The carvings and the design are love! See that design inside? Oh so cute noh?

The swatch of these two (2) shades:

Left: Very Pale Light Blue
Right: White

What I like:
o I find it cheap for a price of Php148 each.
o Cute packaging. It added worth to the price tag.
o When they say matte; it's really pure matte color without any sparkles or shimmers on it.
o Very smooth to glide onto the lids.
o Very fine texture.

What I don't like:
o Not that pigmented. Well, let me say this, the pale light blue color is actually very pale that's why I have to pick the color 3-times so it can be obvious that it is a pale light blue. I have no problem with the white though.
o I don't understand what has written at the back of their label, lols!

Verdict:
Honestly, the pigmentation doesn't really bother me that much. I love the eye shadows! I am happy to find these matte eye shadows because the fact that I have so many shimmery eye shadows in my vanity table, I am ashamed to say that I owned very, very few pure mattes. Yes, I do have other mattes but with shimmers on it.

I am going to use these either as Base color or on top of any bases. Then, if you want bright make-ups, these are perfect. I can use the pale light blue for inner corners application and tear ducts area. The white is of course for highlighting the brow bone, tear duct area or the whole eye lids for a smooth application of eye shadows on top of it. I think I should make a tutorial on how to use these shadows if given a chance next week.

I still have other product reviews that are scheduled for entry. Until next post beauties!

Smile always and stay tuned.

So Sexy in Wet 'n Wild Cherry Frost

This post is a continuation of my first eureka moment in 2011. I've already posted one of my Wet 'n Wild lipsticks on my last entry, please click here. As promised, I've already swatch the other lipstick, 514A in Cherry Frost. Are you excited to see it? Then, just continue reading.

So perfect for my lipstick's label...

...Wet 'n Wild 514A Cherry Frost

In actual, this lipstick has very tiny gold sparkles, very very tiny sparkles. Well, just like the 521A Fuchsia in Blue Pearl, it has also very tiny blue sparkles. Moving on, those tiny gold sparkles are love, love, love. It tones down the red from flaming hehehe.

In my lips is the swatch of 514A Cherry Frost.
Please click here for the product's review.

Do you know that I fell in love with this lipstick the moment I swatch this on? This is now my favorite from all the lippies I got. This is my first ever red lipstick. Yes, you've read it right. Honestly, when I picked this red lipstick together with the Fuchsia, my thinking is just to own one and of course, to tried wearing it. Heck, it's just only P99 hehehe.

I've been wearing this for 3 days straight every time we head out. It adds a lot of confidence in me. With this red lipstick on, I think I look like I'm a woman with authority. I absolutely love it! With my black hair, I can say also that the shade really suits me. I feel so SEXY hahaha!

What I like about my latest Wet 'n Wild lipstick, I can also wear it alone with just my face powder on. A look just as simple as my photo above. My face looks so vibrant! I can't wait to buy the other shades of this lipstick. Keep posted for my next make-up tut.

PRODUCT REVIEW: I'VE GOT WET 'N WILD!

Every time I go to any SM Malls, I have no reason not to pass by at Watsons; both in the mall and in the department store. Last week was my first eureka moment for this 2011 and I've bought a lot of toiletries for our use from our head down to our toes, lols! Of course, make-ups were also in the list that day. I've bought some lipstick and matte single eye shadows. I don't have much matte shadows; I only have few. I have a lot of shimmery shadows kasi.

The lipsticks I bought from Wet 'n Wild.
I got Silk Finish Lipsticks in 514A (Cherry Frost) & 521A (Fucshia with Blue Pearl)

During my make-up hunt that day, I was happy to see the Wet 'n Wild (it was locally available last quarter of 2010). I've heard some nice reviews of this product and wanted to give it a try. I noticed that it's the only make-up display station that has no SA attending to customers. Maybe the SA was in break during that time or whatever. I saw the product display in a mess, lols! I mean, the customers come and go after some testing that made some items not returned in their right places. So, I had much time looking and testing the products without minding that an annoying SA will follow and trace every item I touch, if you know what I mean hehehe. They normally do that hehehe.

The price tags are a lot the same with NYX Cosmetics but Wet 'n Wild are obviously way cheaper. From what I remember, mostly price starts at P299 and up. But I was surprised to see a price tag of P99.00 for a tube of lipstick. Yes, very cheap, right? Funny me coz that time I was looking for the designated Wet 'n Wild SA but unfortunately she wasn't in. I wanted to ask her why that lipstick was cheap compared to the other Wet 'n Wild lipstick which costs range starting at P299.00. Anyway, I grabbed two (2) lipsticks to give this brand a try.

521A (Fucshia with Blue Pearl)
See that tiny blue sparkles?

In my lips is the swatch of 521A.
Note that before I apply the lipstick, I lined my lips using a fucshia pink lip liner for defined full lips. I applied the lipstick on my upper lip then blot it with my lower lip. Then, I applied it again and re-blot.

What I like:
o Very cheap for P99.00 per tube.
o Semi-matte but with satin finish.
o Light-weight feel.
o Pigmented.
o Do not set in lines of my lips.

What I don't like:
o The packaging looks cheap (it justify the price, right? lols!).
o I have to pull the cap very slowly so it won't touch the lipstick or else... messy.
o It looks like the plastic tube is not durable for pulling up and down of lipstick.
o 1/2 inch of the lipstick is peeking so you can see it since it has a transparent cap. At first, I thought I just need to pull it down but I was wrong hehehe. Sagad na pala yun.

See? It's peeking!

Verdict:
If I feel skipping eye shadows and foundation on my face, I can wear this alone. This is much cheaper than my NYX round lipstick which costs Php 160.00 from online reseller. I will buy the other shade of lipstick, too and I will try their eye shadows.

Smile always and stay tuned.
