Review: Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Just Peachy

I admit, yesterday was a bit tough. I never knew that running a giveaway could take a lot of my time in validating the entries (well, for now because it's my first time). Laugh at me but yes, I do. I'm so shallow I know but I really enjoy reading all the entries. Very inspiring, really. Wait, have you joined my giveaway yet? Click here to join.

Today's post is about a lipstick review. It's been long time since I posted one and guess I'll be reviewing Wet n Wild Megalast lipstick again. I was supposed to review the first Megalast lipstick I bought some months ago but I was so lazy to take product shoot until I've used the lipstick already. I regret doing it because I lost the chance to share something beautiful to my readers. It was in Nude shade though. So now I made sure this second buy will be: shoot first before use.

I bought this at Watsons Megamall. When I saw that Wet n Wild's station was deserted (I meant no sales assistant standing beside it); a smirk was drawn on my lips. I had a pretty time and went through all the Megalast shades and was torn between Think Pink and Just Peachy. But I decided to take the latter as something peachy & coral-ish will perfectly suit my morena skin. I love Think Pink, too, but maybe next time.

What I first noticed was they finally got it labeled on the bottom. The Nude I bought before hasn't it. Good to know they heard consumer's concern because it is really hard to identify and remember the shade name with all the lipsticks we have girls, right? Except if that is something in your favorites then you'll definitely had it memorized.

Jenniya's view:

I Like:
... The color is oh-so purrfect for summer.
... Versatile shade.
... It leaves a creamy matte finish with a hint of sheen.
... It's opaque. The first swipe leaves enough amount to distribute when you pressed your lips.
... Of course, it suited my morena skin tone.
... The color doesn't wash-out my face.
... The color is a bit nude with hint of pink.
... It doesn't have an odd smell.
... The packaging doesn't look cheap.
... Affordable for only Php 299 ($7.11)

Photos from the above up to here are taken without camera flash.

I Don't Like:
... It is hard to pull-open the cap because it was like glued into the tube. I was afraid I might break the cap as I even heard the squeaky sound.
... It set in few lines particularly in the middle of my lower lip.
... My lips gone drier when I wear it.

The picture doesn't justify it's true color. In person, it's Just Peachy indeed.

The picture somehow justified the color but in a lighter version. Imagine it 1 shade darker, then you'll get the Just Peachy shade.

Jenniya Says:
Even though I said that it can be drying on the lips, I actually don't mind at all because it never get to the point that it crack or wound my lips like the other local cheap brands. The creamy texture of it is the kick you will get to make your lips stay soft and not flaky. I just have to deal with dryness at the end of the day but hey, lip balms can solve it. I love how it look not-so-matte at all because pure matte with no sheen will definitely make you look washed-out in day time unless you're sporting a dark smokey eye in a broad daylight. This color is versatile because you can wear this in daytime and oh-so perfect at night time, too. It set on the lines, yes, but I do have a wrinkly lips ever since so I think this will look smoother to those with a blessed soft and supple lips. Agree? I would definitely purchased the other shades like Think Pink and the other orange-y & reddish ones, I totally forgot the shade names. Forgetful Jenniya I know. :)
