Face It: No Make-Up Look

How was your weekend? Last Sunday, I had a wonderful sundate with my in-laws together with my hubby. It was like a post Valentine date for all of us. We had lunch in Seaside Market (or mostly known as Dampa) along Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City. Many waiters approached and called our attention as we passed by each restaurant (if you've been there, you know what I meant of this usual scenario) but we still chose to eat in the restaurant where we had eaten before because it is more spacious there.

Oh we really enjoyed the quick buying of fresh sea foods from the market stalls right across the restaurant, did some bargaining and of course, the sumptuous lunch of fresh cooked sea foods! When it was cooked and finally served all in the table, we were surprised because there are so many that we all struggle to finish what we ordered. Haha!

If you are my follower on Instagram and Twitter, then you must have seen the photo I posted using the front camera of my iPhone but yeah, I know the photo didn't give much justice on what I was claiming of no make-up look. So, lovelies, here was my look.

What I used:
PALLADIUM Natural Rice Oil Controlling Powder
AVON Lip & Cheek Tint
NYX Lipliner in Natural
SHU UEMURA Waterproof Mascara in Black
IN2IT Eyebrow kit

I set Sunday for my skin to breathe. So I care less for my face and focus more of my attention to chit chat with my in-laws last Sunday. I skipped foundation and just apply loose powder especially when I learned that we will spend some time in MOA after lunch. I don't know if it just me but sea breeze makes my face more oily and sticky feel. I really hate it! So I made sure I'll be less conscious of my face that day. I rocked a no make-up look and for me not to get bothered of reapplying blush, AVON lip & cheek tint saved me and kept my cheeks blushed like it's been pinched all day. I also opted to apply just a lip liner to keep the whole look as natural as possible. And of course, loads of Shu Uemura mascara!

Before I end this post, let me share with you some photos on how my day went.

Meet the man behind the lens - my husband.

Before we headed home, we were able to hear the Sunday mass. As usual, the people in the church overflowed down the road. There are so many people outside and even across SMX. We just stood by our car and heard the mass from where we parked in front of SMX Convention Center.

So, that's it for now. I hope you all had a great weekend, too.

Look of the Day: V-Date in Tagaytay

It's been a month since I last posted. A lot of things have been occupying me lately. I've been very busy with work and other stuffs. Anyway, I had a break and had a stress-free day with my hubby even the Valentines Day fell on a working day. While most of the people are working, I and hubby celebrated the Heart's Day in the 2nd Summer Capital of our country - Tagaytay.

Tagaytay City can be cold more than you expected sometimes. Though it is nice to feel the cold breeze hugging your face and body; it could be freezing sometimes. A scarf will always be a savior at times. This is what I wore in the morning going to Tagaytay. For me, there is nothing comfy than wearing a shorts or jumpsuits. We reached there at 7:30 am and the fog was at its thickest especially in Tagaytay's highest peak - the People's Park in the Sky.

with the hubby...

We settled in our resort villa after sight seeing from the nearby places. I changed my outfit for dinner time and my hubby did a practice shooting again around the resort. There are only few guests so it's like we owned the resort that time (camera clicks everywhere). :)

Our villa in Las Ventanas Tagaytay.

By the way, it was damn cold when dusk finally took place. I've had my dress top with a jacket when we dined at the resort's restaurant.

That's it. Until my next post.

Globe Telecom welcomes the most amazing phone yet - iPhone 4S!

The most amazing phone yet is finally available in the Philippines and it was launched last night at the Ayala Museum, Greenbelt 4 in Makati City by the Globe Telecom - the #1 in postpaid.

Hubby and I are a proud owner of iPhone 4 and we really see to it that we can attend the launching of the iPhone 4S. Unlike last year's iPhone 4 launching which we also have attended to in Shangrila Makati, last night's launching was a real parteyyyyy. We really had a blast! Thank you so much Globe Telecom!

Ayala Museum, Greenbelt 4

We parked at Glorietta and just walked across to Greenbelt 4. The venue was already all set-ups with the music playing. We didn't go inside yet as my hubby was still taking pictures of the venue.

Hubby and I are one of the loyal customers of Globe Telecom since 2006 but we only have attended a launching party when it was iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Last night was really a fun party. There are free drinks and foods available from the Museum Cafe. There are cocktail drinks and I even saw San Miguel Light. We decided to go inside and mingle with the crowd. They will stamp you in the arm so you'll have the access to roam around and have a free drinks and foods.

You can eat all you can in the Museum Cafe.

That's TJ Manotoc (the man in striped lilac long sleeve).

Candle light?

The most awaiting performer that night arrived at 10:00 pm and he started spinning. We were still inside the Museum Cafe and hubby was having his dessert when suddenly we heard the crowd outside going crazy. When we checked it out; Kaskade was started spinning!

The one and only Kaskade (he's cute!) :-)
One more time. Kaskade I love you! Woot!

Video taken by my iPhone 4.

The crowd are so into it. A lot of sexy babes around and a lot of cute guys, too. Everybody was dancing and some are with their drinks dancing with the beat. Real party huh?!? The Globe Telecom retains its reputation of being classy even on outdoor launching eh? That hip launching party was way cooler than the previous. I am so proud of staying with Globe.

Kaskade span until 11:00 pm and another performer took place of the center stage.

Amber Davis
Ira Cruz

Parteeey, parteeey!

Crystalle Henares (Vicki Belo's daughter). Ohh! She didn't sing or dance, by the way but just announced her Twitter follower who had won an iPhone 4S.

Of course, the President of the Philippines, NoyNoy "Pnoy" Aquino is the first loyal customer who received an iPhone 4S as his loyalty reward.

Globe Telecom Prersident and CEO, Mr. Ernest L. Cu

Finally, the iPhone 4S has launched at exactly 12:00 am, 16th of December 2011.

Just so we thought that Globe Telecom party will be over after launching but guess they'd continue the party in Republiq as announced by Crystalle Henares earlier. We wanted to but we opted to go home instead. My feet were aching and I don't think I could bear the pain for another hours of dancing.

Globe Telecom, you rock!

Overall, hubby and I had fun partying with Globe Telecom people. That was an amazing party, indeed. Thank you Globe! Talk about loyalty rewards, I'm hoping to own an iPhone 4S sooner than I think. That's it for now guys.

Cold Weather Outfits

I want to share the outfits I wore from our recent trip to the City of Pines and our country's Summer Capital - Baguio City. Yes, I've been to Baguio for the fifth (5th) time. I considered this trip very memorable because aside from it was our first time to went there at rainy season, there was also a typhoon (click here for my Baguio trip). Our previous trips were always been between the months of April to May. During summertime, Baguio City is jam-packed with a lot of tourists because it's the only place in the country where you can still chill even the sun is at its intense.

Its rainy season and I expected that it will be colder than usual. I admit, I under estimated it. I could have brought maong pants instead. But anyway, it doesn't mean that I went to Baguio being under dressed. I have brought with me the essentials to protect me from the cold weather. I love going to Baguio. Not only because of the cold weather it offers but also because of the great opportunity for me to wear "winter" outfits.

Day 1 - On our first night, we experienced occasional drizzles only. I tried hard to manage the chilly breeze.

Jacket, T-shirt and Shorts: People Are People

Day 2 - We went to Burnham Park as early as 5:00 a.m. I know it was colder at dawn but I didn't expect it was at most during our stay. Upon checking the weather, it was 15 degrees Celsius during that time. My supposed one tights only became doubled.

Jacket: Vintage
Inner: Forever 21 (navy blue)
Leggings: Forever 21 - knitted (Black)
Tights: BaBo (Green)
Scarf: SM Dept. Store
Boots: Vintage

Day 2 - I've changed outfit around noon time.

Jacket: Surplus Shop at SM
Inner: Forever 21 (navy blue)
Boots: Vintage

Day 2 - On our second night, we dined at Nevada Square.

Dress: Two Percent (knitted)
Tights: Forever 21 - Net (Black)
Scarf: SM Dept. Store
Belt: BaBo
Boots: Vintage

Day 3 - We decided to go back to Manila during the time that Typhoon Pedring was also on its way to Baguio. God is good. We safely reached down in Pangasinan.

Jacket: Vintage
Inner: Forever 21 - knitted (Black)
Scarf: Vintage
Tights: Forever 21 - net (Maroon)
Boots: Vintage

Before I forgot, the cap that I've been wearing the whole time when I was in Baguio is from Babo. I always wear it because when I was in Baguio, it drizzles almost all the time. All my outfits did a great job to keep me warm.

Much love,

Newest Baby On-Hand: Sony NEX-C3

Guess what we recently owned. Presenting the DSLR killer, meet our newest baby...

Sony NEX-C3
E 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OSS
16.2 Megapixels

Yes, we finally owned this baby. Originally, we plan to buy NEX 5 but my hubby is such a genius in gadgets so he knew that there's a latest NEX coming. Good thing we waited! At first, we've searched and canvassed online about the prices. Yes, it was very cheap because you can buy as low as P24,000 but not complete; only the unit. There's no inclusion of memory card, camera bag and neck strap. There's warranty card but it only covers 1 year. When your unit needs repair, you have to bring it from whom you have bought it and they will be the one to fix it; you CANNOT bring it to the Sony directly and have it repaired for free. You should be alarmed if you hear that. Do not let your hard-earned money go to waste. So, I and hubby decided to buy directly from Sony store. Yey!

The Sony NEX-C3 was originally priced at P34,999 but we were able to negotiate from the store manager (since we paid in cold cash) and guess how low he gave the unit? Just send me a message and I will reply which store and how much we got it. We got the NEX-C3 with the neck strap, camera bag, 8 GB memory and with 3-years warranty.

We haven't yet studied how to use this camera but so far reading the manual included, we are both very happy with our photo results. My hubby will be attending Lito Sy's photography workshop very, very soon, so we're both excited to use our new baby with right knowledge on how to take photos like a Pro. Meantime, I will share to you the photos of our recent trip to Tagaytay.

Just click the photos to enlarge.
