Globe Telecom welcomes the most amazing phone yet - iPhone 4S!

The most amazing phone yet is finally available in the Philippines and it was launched last night at the Ayala Museum, Greenbelt 4 in Makati City by the Globe Telecom - the #1 in postpaid.

Hubby and I are a proud owner of iPhone 4 and we really see to it that we can attend the launching of the iPhone 4S. Unlike last year's iPhone 4 launching which we also have attended to in Shangrila Makati, last night's launching was a real parteyyyyy. We really had a blast! Thank you so much Globe Telecom!

Ayala Museum, Greenbelt 4

We parked at Glorietta and just walked across to Greenbelt 4. The venue was already all set-ups with the music playing. We didn't go inside yet as my hubby was still taking pictures of the venue.

Hubby and I are one of the loyal customers of Globe Telecom since 2006 but we only have attended a launching party when it was iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Last night was really a fun party. There are free drinks and foods available from the Museum Cafe. There are cocktail drinks and I even saw San Miguel Light. We decided to go inside and mingle with the crowd. They will stamp you in the arm so you'll have the access to roam around and have a free drinks and foods.

You can eat all you can in the Museum Cafe.

That's TJ Manotoc (the man in striped lilac long sleeve).

Candle light?

The most awaiting performer that night arrived at 10:00 pm and he started spinning. We were still inside the Museum Cafe and hubby was having his dessert when suddenly we heard the crowd outside going crazy. When we checked it out; Kaskade was started spinning!

The one and only Kaskade (he's cute!) :-)
One more time. Kaskade I love you! Woot!

Video taken by my iPhone 4.

The crowd are so into it. A lot of sexy babes around and a lot of cute guys, too. Everybody was dancing and some are with their drinks dancing with the beat. Real party huh?!? The Globe Telecom retains its reputation of being classy even on outdoor launching eh? That hip launching party was way cooler than the previous. I am so proud of staying with Globe.

Kaskade span until 11:00 pm and another performer took place of the center stage.

Amber Davis
Ira Cruz

Parteeey, parteeey!

Crystalle Henares (Vicki Belo's daughter). Ohh! She didn't sing or dance, by the way but just announced her Twitter follower who had won an iPhone 4S.

Of course, the President of the Philippines, NoyNoy "Pnoy" Aquino is the first loyal customer who received an iPhone 4S as his loyalty reward.

Globe Telecom Prersident and CEO, Mr. Ernest L. Cu

Finally, the iPhone 4S has launched at exactly 12:00 am, 16th of December 2011.

Just so we thought that Globe Telecom party will be over after launching but guess they'd continue the party in Republiq as announced by Crystalle Henares earlier. We wanted to but we opted to go home instead. My feet were aching and I don't think I could bear the pain for another hours of dancing.

Globe Telecom, you rock!

Overall, hubby and I had fun partying with Globe Telecom people. That was an amazing party, indeed. Thank you Globe! Talk about loyalty rewards, I'm hoping to own an iPhone 4S sooner than I think. That's it for now guys.

Newest Baby On-Hand: Sony NEX-C3

Guess what we recently owned. Presenting the DSLR killer, meet our newest baby...

Sony NEX-C3
E 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OSS
16.2 Megapixels

Yes, we finally owned this baby. Originally, we plan to buy NEX 5 but my hubby is such a genius in gadgets so he knew that there's a latest NEX coming. Good thing we waited! At first, we've searched and canvassed online about the prices. Yes, it was very cheap because you can buy as low as P24,000 but not complete; only the unit. There's no inclusion of memory card, camera bag and neck strap. There's warranty card but it only covers 1 year. When your unit needs repair, you have to bring it from whom you have bought it and they will be the one to fix it; you CANNOT bring it to the Sony directly and have it repaired for free. You should be alarmed if you hear that. Do not let your hard-earned money go to waste. So, I and hubby decided to buy directly from Sony store. Yey!

The Sony NEX-C3 was originally priced at P34,999 but we were able to negotiate from the store manager (since we paid in cold cash) and guess how low he gave the unit? Just send me a message and I will reply which store and how much we got it. We got the NEX-C3 with the neck strap, camera bag, 8 GB memory and with 3-years warranty.

We haven't yet studied how to use this camera but so far reading the manual included, we are both very happy with our photo results. My hubby will be attending Lito Sy's photography workshop very, very soon, so we're both excited to use our new baby with right knowledge on how to take photos like a Pro. Meantime, I will share to you the photos of our recent trip to Tagaytay.

Just click the photos to enlarge.

Here's the photo with settings using Soft Focus.

Our baby - iPad 2.

I remember posting in my Facebook status about a baby coming which been mistakenly thought of a real baby in process, some got confused I know and some are just smart to guess what I am pertaining to. Yes, we have a baby in addition to our Apple family and our iPhone 4 got sibling in form of our new baby - iPad 2. Yes, we have an iPad 2 already since April 17, 12:45 am - registered!

Our iPad 2 came all the way from the U.S. and it was brought to us very carefully and hand-carried by my B's cousin who flew from US to PI to just personally handed over to us our dear baby. Thank you so much Bernard! We knew you will do anything that's best for us!

Now, meet our new baby...
 iPad 2

Take a peek of it but I'm warning you - tons of photos below.

Unboxing...

16 GB Black Wifi

Okay, I know you would ask what's the difference of iPad 2 from the iPad 1. Here's the list of what things have changed between the two:

  • iPad 2 processor has been improved from a 1GHz Apple A4 to a 1GHz dual-core Apple A5. So, it means the loading is faster.
  • iPad 1 was either 680g or 730g depending on if you wanted 3G or not, the iPad 2 is just 601g with just Wifi.
  • it has camera and not only one, but two new cameras. The front camera is VGA webcam and the back camera is capable of recording video at 720p. Oh well, than no cameras at all, right?
  • the thickness of the entire unit has been reduced 33% from 13.4mm down to 8.8mm.
  • Of course, there's FaceTime just like our iPhone 4's. As long as you have wifi connection, you're good to call whoever who have FaceTime either iPhone 4, MAC or of course, iPad 2. You can catch everything live using FaceTime.

Below is the iPad 1, on top is the iPad 2. See? So sleek!

This iPad 2 costs $499 US. Through my B's cousin's kindness, he bought this for us and of course, we paid him here when he arrived in PI. We were so excited when he handed this over to us. At last, no more sleepless nights hehehe. Finally.

Along with this was the Smart Cover which was one of the pasalubong we got from him. This Smart Cover works with magnets and automatically turns off and on the device when its screen is blocked. So cool eh?

Thank you so much!

with built-in magnets that automatically holds the iPad 2.

It folds and creates a stand to hold the iPad 2.

Isn't it cool? This is just not a cover but it protects your iPad also and it makes your iPad 2 looking greater with the choices of cute colors. Click here.

I really love iPad 2. This is really great for us who are always out for work and have lots of gala; it's so nice and now, we are fearless to go anywhere. We have a bigger screen for the GPS which is very, very useful. We have tried this GPS when we went out of town last Holy Week and it does a perfect job! Taking down notes are now more way easier and more professional just the way I want it.

We are still in stage of getting to know and discovering the other features of our new baby. My B is now working on some apps and installing on it, so I just let him do that because those stuffs are really not my thing. He's the genius, lol!

My B... iPad-ing at the resort.

Before I end this post, tomorrow, April 29, 2011, the iPad 2 will be launched to five (5) Power Mac Center in the Philippines: SM Megamall, SM Annex, Trinoma, Greenbelt 3 & SM Mall Of Asia. They will also give 10% discount to all iPad 2 accessories. We are going to Power Mac Center - SM Megamall to grab some accessories for our baby. See you there!

Much love,

Jenniya
