Obviously, I have lost file again. I saw this in other data file and honestly, I went crazy finding the other pictures with this outfit. Na-da! It's totally gone. I can't find it anymore. We had this outfit shot some time in January 2013 with connection of my make-up tutorial here.

Okay. That's it for now. Happy weekend!

OOTD: Yellow-Gold Empire

I have mentioned some months ago that I'll be attending a wedding this June. My friend (the bride) asked me to be one of their principal sponsors. My first reaction was: "oh no, why me?!" Honestly, I suddenly felt old right at that moment. But then, my husband said that my friend maybe treats me not just a friend but someone she is looking up to. I was flattered.

The wedding finally happened last Sunday. We arrived in the cathedral 45 minutes earlier than the real time. I didn't double-check the invitation before we head out. The advantage of arriving so early was we had a pretty much time to fix our composure, adjust with the hot weather, get used of the surrounding and yeah, we camwhore!

Of course, that day was another opportunity for outfit shot. I was excited to pose and my hubby directed me like a breeze. He was happy taking pictures of me as I wore an outfit that was far from the usual stuffs I'm wearing everyday. What I didn't like though, it was very windy that time. It ruined my ironed hair. Ughh!

It was damn hot that afternoon. The row where we seated was directly hit by the sun down. Hence, we sacrificed half of our face getting burnt. Lol! I kid. While the others have a fan to protect their faces, well, I managed to protect mine by my purse. One lesson learned; always bring with you a fan when attending such occasion like a wedding.

This purse is very versatile in terms of how to carry it. It has a handle and there's also a gold short chain inside. I styled this purse in 3 ways - (1) holding it like a wallet; (2) carrying it by the handle: and (3) putting the gold chain on my arm.

My Mom-in-law helped me find my gown. She and my hubby saw this gown in the mannequin. Honestly, I find it no appeal at first sight but Mom insisted I should fit it and I was so thankful I did because it suit and fit me perfectly. I mean, I am flat-chested but the empire-cut of the gown creates a fuller and defined chest. Agree? The one-shoulder strap style is just perfect for the support I need. I am afraid of strapless gown as it has nothing to hold on to because I am not gifted in the chest area. Also, the length is just right. I wore a 3-inches heel and the hem touches the ground but I never stepped onto it. Perfect length indeed.

One thing I learned when buying a gown is that your real size varies on the design. When I bought mine, the only available sizes were small & extra-large and I am medium. I fitted the small and felt comfortable with it but Mom saw the garterized back design being fully-stretched and flattened, hence, it looks tight-fitting and ugly to look at. Plus, the length was shorter because I can see my feet when I peep-toed. So, I had no choice. I fitted the extra-large and surprisingly, the fit was just right. The garterized back is properly fitted and clasps my whole back beautifully. I peep-toed and I can't see my feet. A grin was plastered on my face and said to myself: "the search is finally over!"

The motif of the wedding was black & gold. When I bought the gown, there's a brooch with diamonds pinned in the middle of the chest area but I get rid of it because it was silver. I follow the motif of black and gold, of course. I planned to buy a gold brooch but decided not to when I found the prices are too steep. Anyway, the black and gold accessories sufficed it.

Meet the man behind the lens, the man taking pictures of me for my blog - my hubby.

I am impressed with the face primer I used because my make-up stayed for 10-hours. In the church during the ceremony, my face sweated a bean-like size from my temples down to my ears and down to my chin. I can feel how my sweat and my oil united to ruin my make-up which I spent 3-hours in preparation. I even got my husband annoyed because I started doing my face quite early than usual. Lol! My oil appeared but minimal only. I remember blotting my oil for 3 times and dabbed a powder 2 times in my T-zone area only and I didn't retouch my lipstick and blush-on for the entire hours from afternoon up to 10:00 pm.

Oh by the way, the other principal sponsors thought I was a proxy for someone. They can't believe I am one of them. I know I am way too young but I really can't turn it down. I spoke at my friend's wedding, too. I gave advice about marriage. When I was called to speak, I controlled my feelings not to be in tears. The bride is so dearest to me and I feel overwhelmed by the happiness seeing her finally married.

OOTD: Let me feel it's still February

Okay. So, I was staring on my monitor and was thinking if I should hit "Publish" button. I feel like I did something illegal of drafting this last night. Lol. With the scorching heat now, I feel stupid to post this - me wearing a jacket. Anyway, I had forgotten that I've prepared these photos taken early February this year when the heat was still bearable because it wasn't that hot and summer was quite far yet from reality. I blogged about a sumptuous sundate with my in-laws some months ago and these pictures were actually been edited, watermarked and ready for drafting but something got in my way and kept me occupied. These were kind of lost files because I've saved these to my hubby's folder and I eventually forgotten about this as the days, weeks and months passed.

Errr... yeap, those are plastic garbage littered untidily.

Anyway, as I remembered, right after eating, we all decided to go to MoA. My hubby and I did sneak shots after lunch right in the messy open ground parking lot at the back of Dampa in Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City. At first, the weather was cooperating. The wind was able to soothe the afternoon heat that time. I endured a little heat and posed like I'm kind of enjoying the sea breeze on February. Lol.

I love the sunshine effect on my hair here. Thanks for the sun which suddenly peeked out on the clouds. Mr. Sun knew I needed some natural lighting eh?

Keds

It was only a short drive from Dampa to MoA. We went inside of SMX and checked the ongoing travel expo but we didn't stay long and proceed to the mall instead. There we sat again and ordered desserts. Yeap, we ate again. Lol. But we had no plans of staying there until night because we were avoiding the hell of traffic, so when dusk took place, we decided to go home.

[ Random find top (tiange), thrifted jacket, GUESS shorts, HongKong watch, KEDS shoes, star gold earrings, vintage fringe leather bag ]

Hubby and I stayed a little longer in the parking lot. We finished hearing the mass from the church which situated just accross SMX and did a bit of cam whoring.

Until my next post.

OOTD: My Go-To Outfit

Ohh I miss outfit posts! It's been long time since I posted one and I'm sorry because I owe you big time for that lovelies. No, I'm just making lame reasons. Haha! Okay, I just want to share my outfit some weeks ago when we watched basketball game in SMART Araneta.

I am fond of wearing shorts. Though my legs aren't wow, I don't mind flaunting it. Lol! Wearing shorts makes me move comfortably and move for all I care without the fear of some peek-a-boos. Shorts are always my savior when anxiety attacks and when I think I do not have anymore clothes to wear but fact is, there are tons inside my closet. Lol.

My outfit's color screams summer. A pastel blue and yellow. I score these pieces half of the original price one Friday from SM Dept. Store. I'm a sucker of anything red tags, so I looked for my size and headed to the fitting room. Both pieces perfectly fit me right. I wanted to get another shorts in Orange color but unfortunately, sizes were broken since it's already on sale.

[ Penshoppe buttoned-down shirt, Penshoppe walk shorts, Penshoppe belt, KEDS shoes, Clothingloves bracelet (same here) ]

Have you read my post: Fashion 101 Identify The Colors? Can you guess what color scheme I pulled here? It's Triadic color scheme. Though my top is Pastel Blue, it still goes along with the 2 primary colors which is the Red & Yellow. The color Yellow stands out. Click here for further information about color schemes.

On my nails, Caronia's Summer "Expressions" Collection in Blue Chill & Fresh Mint (review here.)

I don't know about you but whenever I buy clothes, I always see to it that I can wear it not limited to one occasion only. Like this buttoned-down shirt, I actually worn this going to work, meeting clients and it's perfect for casual days, too. Oh I'm the type that will wear favorites until it's overused.

The belt (it's dark brown) actually came together with the shirt.

I love the fabric of this walk shorts because it's a bit stretchable which add more comfort when I move.

Ever since this bracelet came in the mail, it's been my favorite accessory. This is a gift from one of my sponsors, Clothingloves.com. Lovely!

By the way, most of the pictures in this post are bit grainy because my husband just used iPhone 5 in taking these shots except picture of the bracelet alone and the one above it. Looks pretty good shots eh. Okay, I will leave you with some pa-cutesy pose.

Care to share what's your go-to outfit?

How To Wear Challenge - Sheer

I was recently contacted by the lovely Fleur from Voucher Codes to try their How To Wear Challenge. I chose the trend 'sheer' and picked 3 sheer items to add to three different outfits. This is my take on it :)
